||What kind of music do you produce?
All kinds. I have produced music in over 100 styles, from rock, pop, Hip Hop, RnB, Jazz, Smooth Jazz,
World Music, Reggae, Industrial, Rap, Punk, Heavy Metal, Contemporary Christian, Sacred Chant,
Classical, Opera, New Age, etc. Check out our Audio Demos page for examples.
||How much does it cost?
All project receive a custom quote. I prefer to create a flat fee for each project so clients know
upfront what it will cost with no surprises. Low hourly rate can be deceiving. My experience has shown
that setting a flat fee helps everyone relax and focus on the music and not the clock.
What do I get?
My standard package includes a mixed and mastered audio CD ready or manufacturing.
My deluxe packages include CD manufacturing.
All clients receive backups of all mix data and audio files to client supplied hard drive or
Clients may request tracks (mix minus lead vocal) at no charge (great for solo artists).
Clients may request Multi track stems at a small additional fee which is charged hourly ( these can
be used to create custom tracks for adding production elements to a band that follows a click).
D o you use "live" instruments or program
Every project is different. I play many instruments and many of my productions utilize me
programming everything from the keyboard. Often I will hire session players to augment my tracks.
Most often these include Guitar, strings, horns and background singers. My pool of session players
includes award winning artists with years of experience playing on major label releases.
There are 2 levels of session players
- Level 1 Professional session player - has pro gear and many credits but not a big name
(costs vary from $100-$150 per song)
- Level 2 Big name session player - Has a recognizable name that may help get your project
listened to by radio and industry veterans. (costs vary from $500 per song - skies the
||How long have you been doing this?
I started making music for hire in 1988. I have over 300 CDs to my credit.
I just play or sing but don't write music?
I can help you write your own music or provide you with songs from an extensive library of songs from
writers around the country. We can ever custom write a song from you specifications or subject.
How long does it take to make a 10 song CD?
- I like to produce 1 CD at a time and work full time M-F 10-6pm.
- Once songs are selected, Recording mixing and mastering can generally be completed in 2-4
- If songs need to be written. the time line can vary.
I get my song on the radio?
I have relationships with top radio promoters in many styles and will be happy to forward songs I have
produced to my contacts at no charge. You can send your CDs to radio stations but in my experience this
does not yield a good response. your CDs are likely to be thrown away without being heard. By using a
professional radio promoter you are guaranteed to at least get heard. If you music is good then it will
have a chance to get played.
I get my song on Itunes?
You must use a distributer. I recommend Tunecore.com and CDbaby.com. They are both good option but they
have different benefits check them out or send an email and ask us for advice.
